    Surf,

By tricky do you mean with the timing or something else?

    I'll try it again.

    Thanks,

Worked on my '10 Taco.....the first time. Although I have to admit that I read the instructions about 30 times so I would have it memorized.......

Hey, saw your post on the intermitent wiper upgrade just after I bought my 2009 Tacoma base model. It didn't take long for me to hate the 2 speed wiper switch. I went to my dealer and was told what you did was "IMPOSSIBLE." If they found out I "REWIRED my Tacoma they would void the warranty." Boy were they drinking the Coolaid that day. I checked with parts and your part numbers were correct. I couldn't get the deal you got for the switch from 1stoyotaparts. It cost me $30 more for the 09 switch.
Your directions were stop on. The job took all of 30 minutes. I have intermitent wipers without rewiring. Anyone want to buy a 2 speed wiper switch cheap?
I'm encouraged to try the Rosta speed control install myself. Any thoughs on this one?

If you press the trip reset button PRIOR to turning the ignition key to on, it WILL start the Reset sequence for the oil change reminder.

If you do NOT press the trip reset button PRIOR to turning the ignition key to on, it will NOT reset the oil change reminder.

And the wait 2 seconds after you turn the ignition to on, is a bit too long I've noticed.
I have best results using a "1" count. ( I know, VERY scientific!!)

This ones cheap! Got any milk crates around? These things are great for storage in the bed. Also great for snow chain storage too. I took the letters I removed from my truck & stuck them on one, it turned out pretty good..... toybox.jpg

ok, got it to work this time. i was using the passenger side seat belt for
    the b-on/b-off...

Using the drivers side seat belt works and it also works when
i place something heavyish on the passenger seat. That sensor
does not cause the passenger side chime now either...

    SUPER SWEET!!

    Thanks,
Sorry for my confusion causing confusion.

This is my first post! I tried the seatbelt chime sequence on my '09 and it worked the first time! V6 double cab, (base?)

I am now going to get the LED lights in my interior lights and attempt to put in my own fog lamps!

Thanks for all of the info!

Did you "start" the truck, or just turn the key on?

Did you fasten the seatbelt while holding down the button? (This is where I messed up the first time) :)
