Regarding your latches - think about putting them together, like your second picture. Every time you have to get in the bed, you have to open both latches - it should be much quicker to open both if they are right next to each other (with one swipe of the hand.)

    Just some food for thought...

I have considered that. My main objective is to have them stick off the vehicle as little as possible when I open them. I will talk to Billy and see what we can come up with. I definitely want them independent of each other though if for some reason I would ever want to take one of them off.

I think stock is 45w, replace them with LEDs

I meant independent of each other - just having the 2 latches next to each other allows you to open both with 1 swipe of the hand.

I have seen setups where one swing out holds the other one under the latch - I don't think that is a good idea either.

Yea I agree. One of the reasons they may not meet in the middle is because the license plate is in the middle. I can talk to Billy bc that is a good point. Thanks for the input.

Definitely have 2 latches. If you are on a hill/slope what ever you don't want to have to grab both real quick

My latches need latches so they can latch while being latched. Considered doing a quad swing out but didn't want to....
