@Spixelz I'm in the process of getting my X2O winch installed in my Pelfreybilt bumper as well. I saw that you said you didn't need to relocate the control box. Did you mount it on the motor of the winch? Thanks.

Yes, mount it on the motor and it will sit just perfect.

The winch comes with little black brackets to mount the controller to the left of the housing. That's what I used.

I won't ever let another person weld on my rig. Being a Navy Engineer I've seen plenty of Navy welders work. You're right there with them. I hate re work and I need it done right the first time. You're the SD guy. Hands down. Navy seal of approval

Started installing mine last night... Not as easy as I had read about it being!

Did a test fit and everything looked good. So I put in my light bar and fogs and went to put it back on and realized The fogs weren't clearing the support under the headlights.

Had to cut and fold that back like it said in the directions. Problem is that where I trimmed, is the same place where the lower headlight trim bracket is located... Going to try and drill the bracket down now.

Next issue I have is that that the support brackets that bolt in on the back side are not lined up enough for me to get the bolt through! They are probably a good 1/4" to 1/2" off on both brackets... It's like the opening doesn't have enough room. I'll be leaving those off for the time being I guess.

Also I am trying trying to use the factory "skid" for the time being. I removed so I would have better access to the sway bar bolts. When I went to put the skid back on, I realized that I don't have access to front hangers. Anybody else running into this problem?

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Are y'all tightening up the sway bar bolts first and then trying to do the long grade 8 bolt?

I had mine just setting up there when I first found it and still off. It reall looks like the adjustable slot is going the wrong direction.

If you trim right at where the trim pieces mount under the head light and fold up what you can the fog's will still fit without moving or drilling that trim bracket. I cut and folded what I could and my lights clear. I do think the instructions could use a update for the 2012+ :)

I tried both ways... I got the bolt somewhat through, but then the sway bar relocate didn't want to line up with the frame holes.

^ This! That's exactly what I told my GF. It would be much easier if the slot was vertical and not horizontal on that end.

I ended up dremeling off the trim piece bracket where it bends downward. Clears the light and still holds the trim piece fine. I may use a small screw or a zip tie just to be on the safe side.

    Finally got it on...

Need to straighten it up a little more and figure out the support bracket, but it is good enough for now.

Used zip ties to pull the fender liners up out of the way.

Used a dremel tool to take off about a 1/4" off the rigid fog harness and the factory Toyota harness fit right in. Wrapped it up in electrical tape and zip tied up out of the way.

Got the light bar wired, but need a new switch that fits better than the Rigid supplied switch... Probably go with an AOB one.

The slots should be perpendicular with the frame. If so, they are correct.

Thank you buddy! I try to give the same work I would expect if I ever let anybody touch any of my stuff. I appreciate the recommendation, it means a lot hearing this from my customers and friends.
Now today I have to test out my own truck after building the motor and fixing the transmission.
Not much beats a 400+hp V8 in a little first gen, lol.

I put the long bolt through the frame and plate before I tighten anything, it will seem like its not perfectly straight, however when you tighten it down it will self-center itself.
But to answer your question, yes, I loosely put it together and then tighten the sway bar bolts while pushing the bracket forward toward the frame and then tighten the long bolt. Or sometimes depending on fit (since all trucks have a slight variance) I'll tighten the long bolt as much as I can while still being able to get the sway bar bolts in.
Did that just sound more confusing than helpful?? Haha
