Has anyone ever done the headlights in body color rather then just black?

Ya, I don't recommend it though. Looks too ricey to me. Using black just looks clean and OEM on any color truck.

Stick to OEM. Lots of reported problems with other brands.

Out of those three, I would say depo. Of course OEMs are the best. I think you'll be fine if you reseal them. After markets seem to have condensation issues

Has anyone had any issues with light output? Does blacking out the headlight make the lights dimmer or is the cone that the bulb sits in the only functionally reflective part of the headlight?

Did mine a while back and forgot to post in here. Used krylon fusion in satin black and GE window sealant. Preheat oven to 300, turned oven off, lights in for 9 mins... No leaks and really happy with them.

I also have this same question. I know OEM are best, but they're also triple the price (from Camelback Toyota Online) of Depo brand on Amazon. My plans are to retrofit them right away anyway, so will the more affordable, Depo lights work as well as OEM?

Depo was fine when I used them for an old BMW E36 that I had. Depo is popular for foreign cars. I think it's fine just be sure to use the silicone when you close everything up!

I have a Depo e36 headlight here with me actually, they look pretty good! Waiting for the customer to pay up to start retrofitting it!

Anyways, what John said. Depos aren't bad. Although some do leak and have condensation issues, but that goes with all aftermarkets. I would open them up and reseal it again with retro rubber from TRS or 3m window weld. If you plan on retrofitting it, just drive around with what you have and buy it all at once. That way you can take your sweet time!

I saw that someone on here used Plasti dip for the Headlights. How did that turn out?

Why? Just paint it. Less chance that it peels.
