saw a nice truck in Arlington, TN this evening. Anyone on here? silver 2nd gen, lifted, shell, 35s?, Pelfreybilt sticker.

 

Here is a teaser picture of progress. Thank you very much for the wheel and tire I'll buy ya a drink at LBL. Going to run my spare and this new tire on the trailer. Then I will put my off road tires on the truck and take just one of my street tires and use as a spare.Still got a lot to do on it. I have to go pick up the main shaft at work. 2 1/2 OD square tubing 1/4 thick for the tongue. Then build up the box and make a door for the rear and a rack for the tent. Finally paint and put lights and skin the box. I'll be happy if I get everything done except skin and inverter installed before LBL.

 

More progress. It's rolling and standing on its own. I got to start building the walls for the box and run two cross braces to the tongue. Welder started acting up so letting it cool down for the night.

17 was all my truck ever got on 265's lol side note, anyone have experience with quick fist mounts? Looking for ways to mount a hi lift, thinking about using those on one side and another set on the other side with a shovel and axe

 

I got both mounts from Relentless. Driver's side has dual quick fist mounts with the axe and shovel, passenger side has the hi-lift mounted. I don't think quick fists would work for the hi-lift though.

 

Never used them, but I would think a jack might be a lil heavy for a rubber mount. I made these using this guys method https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-hi-lift-and-tool-mounts.260147/ It works very well.

I got the quick fist for my axe and have noticed over time that it has drooped with just the axe on it. I have a hard mount for my high lift on the passenger side rail. It's 1/4 steel bent and mounts to the rail and then sits on the bed box grove of the bed. It's really sturdy.

 

My issue with most of the ones I've seen that people make is I have a soft topper so I have to work around the clamps for it that are already in my rails. Up front is a no go because I have the front window of it held on by 3 large c clamps
