I may be presumptuous but I think he is referring to the mod that is linked below in my signature.

This was first MOD I did. Day 2 after driving her off the lot. I HATE CHROME! Only chrome on truck is Toyota logo on steering wheel.

4 quarts exactly( measured it from the drained fluid) of Toyota T-IV fluid and a new drain plug gasket, thats whats recommended. I got the truck used with 49k miles and changed it at 54k miles and it needed it I could tell the previous never changed it out, doing the Diffs and Transfer case next. the truck is the 2.7l 4 banger auto tranny

that little box mounted on top of the batteries is Blue sea ML_ACR which acts like a brain and knows when to link the batteries for charging, but as soon as the voltage drops down (i.e. engine gets turned off) it isolates the batteries. there is also an in-cab switch to manually control it and next week i'm installing a dual voltage meter. thats a basic overview @HeliMedic knows alot more then me lol heres a link where he is talking about his system and his upcoming group buy

That was a picture for reference. My truck is white. Type in "long John mudflaps" into Google.

I am thinking I should do this soon as I like upgrading fluids as well... might keep the toyota fluid in this part. Did you switch out the transfer case fluid yet?

Damn thats not good for me. I was planning on doing it at 60k. Toyota told me to do it at 100k I didn't even think about. I am only 4k away from 60 so I might as well wait but I don't like hearing that "it needed it." You think that goes the same with the 4.0L?

I am planning on doing the transfer and diffs all at once I ordered 3 quarts of Redline 75w85 GL5 for the rear and Walmart SuperTech 75w90 Semi synthetic for the Transfer and front Diff. Toyota Recommends using 75w85 GL5 for both Diffs but it costs twice as much as 75w90 so I am compromising by using the 75w85 Synthetic in the rear only $52 for 3 quarts on Fleabay is the best price I could find Toyota OEM 75W85 is $25-$30 or more per quart they are the only 2 manufactorers of this fluid I can find. And 3 new crush washers from the stealership part# 12157-10010 and will reuse the others on the truck

I believe I went to Lucas 75-90 gear oil in the rear of my truck when I did the detroit truetrac upgrade. dont forget the additive if toyota wants you to have it.

on the 4.0 I would take it to the stealership for the auto tranny fluid flush at 60k miles and pay the price because the difficulty in changing that particular tranny there are some How Tos on TW if you would like to try yourself. Mine is a simple drain the pan and refill thru the Dipstick deal with T-IV

nah mines no additive needed so say the owners manual, I think only the mechanical LSD rears need the additive up to 2009??

    Same as everybody else...
Changed the oil, first I've done outside the dealer, and added a Futomo oil valve. I used Quaker State "Ultimate Durability" synthetic 5w30 and an OEM filter.
