Think for a second...wet plasti-derp on the grille, then pushed onto the lawn by the cat, now grass and dirt on fresh derp, and the cat sitting there staring at it. What would YOU do??

Got my Michelin LTX AT2's load force balanced at Fountain Tire last month. The balancing was terrible from Day 1. Today I took it back to get them to fix it. I told them the ride was really rough and the steering wheel was shaking badly at highway speeds. Half hour later they were done and tried to charge me $15 per tire. I told him to dream on. He said "That's what I was hoping you'd say" and explained that they HAVE to try and charge for a re-balancing if a customer comes back unhappy with the job they did, and they only comp it if the customer complains. How fucking unethical is that?

FFWD 5 minutes. I'm driving up the road and steering wheel is shaking. The fucking bozo only checked the 2 front tires! They were both 1.5 and 1.75 ounces off but he didn't think it made sense to check the back 2. Un-fucking-believable. Back I went to get the other 2 re-balanced. One was fine, one was "way out". They suggested that after the last balancing I must have driving too aggressively before the glue was set and it threw them off. uh huh. sure bud. I said "you guys didn't re-mount. You only balanced them (or made a half-ass attempt to) so there was no glue to pin the blame on.

I hate when companies have policies that try to steal from a customer, unless the customer calls them on it and then they relent that it's not necessary to charge for (whatever service)

Fountain Tire (Nanaimo): minus 1 future customer.

AT2's sure drive nice now that they are balanced properly. Feels like a Michelin again instead of a Milestar retread.

How much of a pain is it to utilize a power inverter from a trd model?

 

It's fairly simple to use but the inverter itself is quite anemic. You will find many threads here detailing peoples frustrations with them and how they replaced them with higher power units.

I meant the process of adding 1 to my truck and weather it was plug and play, i have a power inverter but its a pain in the ass cause it uses the cig lighter and it clutters my truck
