I know this has been beat to death. I just need a "yes that will work" I have some Amsoil signature series atf. Will this work in the automatic transmission in an 06? I attached a picture of what I have.

You need Toyota "WS" fluid. This would work if you are looking for a decent price online: http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/aisin-toyota-ws-world-standard-transmission-fluid-atf-0ws.html (Aisin makes our transmissions, so it's effectively OEM).

I wouldn't go with a fluid that says it works with WS, Dex/Merc, and a bunch of others. WS fluid is thinner than the others, so in my mind a fluid can't exist that truly works with all of them.

Might want to see what your dealer will sell it to you for. I did better than LowRange's price for the Toyota stuff from my dealer.

I'm having trouble finding the thread about changing auto tranny fluid on 2nd Gens. I know they're supposed to get flushed at the dealer but I read some have changed theirs a few quarts at a time by doing the partial drain at home. Not sure if I'm remembering it all correctly...so if anyone can help me find that thread or threads, I'd appreciate it!

Ahhh, and I just found a thread (or the thread) here in this section....wasn't finding it using search function and was apparently reading right past in this section.

Not your fault. Atleast it's not sitting on your shelf. I'll find a use for it for sure.

I owned Fords for like 25 years and all I ever did was drain and fill @ 30k. I never had a tranny issue. I am not a fan of having someone flush it. I have heard a lot of bad things and also heard that the machine may even have the wrong fluid type in it. I am doing my 60k drain and fill this weekend. I may start doing them every 30k.
