I don't even understand how that would mess up the diff. If anything would break in 4x4 on dry pavement I would think it would be the transfercase. If the rear diff was shot you could still get it to move in 4x4.

Come on you guys. Stop doing such cool mods. My bank account can't take it anymore!! Every time I say I am done something else cool pops up on here. My paypal balance looks like a heart monitor readout. Up and down. Mostly up.

Thankyou! I didn't take measurements unfortunately. But from what im told the kings are set around 1.5 inch lift..Some say 2 inch, until you crank the preload you can get much more im sure..My bsm still works perfect and I have had no issues..I did the install in the driveway in about 4 hours..Easy peasy

Interior trim is all black only on the SR trim. The "build your own" interior pics online display the SR trim no matter what trim your build is. Pretty lame!

So when I did my 5100 lift on my 4Runner I rented one of those dinky spring compressors from auto zone.

I spent 5 fu#king hours endangering my life trying to get the spring to compress enough to get the top hat bolt on. The spring compressor threaded rods were so bowed in it almost touched the spring.

I finally wasn't able to torque the spring compressor bolt enough to compress it anymore and had to give up.

I brought it to a local shop to have them assemble the shock for me.

When I got the assembled shocks back I noticed the perch was the opposite way I had it.

I was trying to compress the spring more than 2 inches passed what I needed to because I had the perch on wrong.

Glad I could catch you before you did it. Wish someone had with me.

You'll see people install 5100s at the .85 mark and when they lower it off the jack wonder why their truck is 4 inches higher. The perch was upside down.
