What M/Ts do you recomend???

I'm running BFG A/T 285/75/R16s right now. I'm going to stick with this same size, but I absolutely HATE the tires I have right now and I want to go with a tread pattern thats a bit more agro. I NEED something that does very good in the mud and snow, rock crawling performance isn't too important, good on the street, and lasts a while on pavement/day-to-day driving. I was thinking about either Toyo M/Ts or KM2s. If you have ANY input, please post away.

I'm going to say the vast majority of people on this site are going to tell you KM2. For some reason there is a cult following with BFG here. I'm in the minority and I'd say the Toyo's are the way to go. I've never like the look of any BFG tires.

 

Well I guess it's too late to start a poll, but I will keed track of how amny say Toyo's and how many say KM2's. But just for argument sake, what are the advantages of the Toyo's over the KM2's and visa versa???

I have only had bfg's on all my trucks. I dont know any other. lol. I have never had a problem with them and have never had a flat before. So that is why I chose them.

On the other hand, those goodyear duratracs are good looking and lots of members like them. In order of my picking:

1. bfg mt
2. goodyear dura
3. toyo mt

 

I thought you could go back and add a poll..

 

If you like a tire other than the two listed, bring them to the table.

I ran a set of toyo M/T`s on my 02 f250 in a 37x13.50r17 and got over 55,000 miles on them and there was a little tread left when I took them off. I`m running M/T claws now, little aggressive for a tacoma. I`m goint to go with either MT ATZ/MTZ or Nitto`s new trail grappler, or Toyo Mt/ on the wife`s tacoma.

 

I have KM2s on my prerunner on they always surprise me with their performance. Im amazed with the offroad traction it provides. IMO, they're very noisy on the road and the lack of sipping (like many other muds) provides awful wet traction.

My next set of tires will be a set of TOYO M/T, just to see what all the fuss is about.

I still recommend the KM2s though. Just keep in mind its an offroad tire not a street tire.

 

Recently put a set of 33x12.50 Goodyear MT/R Kevlar on the Jeep and they have been excellent so far. If you can mustard the price, I would highly recommend them. It is also nice to have something that you don't see on the road every day.
