    New Year, new truck, YAY!!! And I'm not quite sure what I'm doing or why I'm driving truck instead of a sports car lol. But I do know I like going the speed limit and driving over things . This is going to be a :turtleride: build. I'm not going to be active like the other folks building their rigs. I'll update as things are added to my mall crawler and sometimes offroad machine :). I'm excited to see how my truck is going to look in a year or two.

    I sure hope so. I wanted to do this trip on two wheels, but do not have one at the moment.

    Never been to AK, not sure how the roads are up there in AK in July. A few questions I have at the moment in order to be prepared. I'm sure I'll have more questions later.
    • Would a stock tacoma able to handle long stretches of unpaved terrain?
      • If not, what tires and shocks would be good?
    • Aside from H2O, food, and gas. What additional gears would I need to bring along?
    • Shelter - Would RTT be good for the trip or there's plenty of motels?

    I have spent some time up there. I would say bring a good set of tools and some extra parts. But you should not have a problem getting around in a stock taco.
