Like he's some kind of hero? And so many of us have been dying to say the same thing!? Each to their own. If he's got a stock grille i'll have the balls to tell him it's ugly as hell. But i won't go out of my way to do it, his truck, his choice. I certainly DID NOT change my grille cause of peer pressure, I could care less.. I changed it to my taste and couldn't look at that mess on the front of my truck anymore.. Were all entitled to our opinions. I'll give him that..:crapstorm:

Ok now her ass is up, and front springs have settled. 2884/Nitrocharger Sport front, 1/2" Toytec Block/Nitrocharger Sport rear. Rides so plush. 9834fc139b7278c901530d0560bcdcbb_fd2c0892be8400b5b455f7046b5743e573600de0.jpg

Totally agree. I had this whole idea of how I would paint mine after I got the truck and how it would be the very first thing I did. Some things I didn't realize were that PICTURES DON'T DO THIS TRUCK JUSTICE. I am not a chrome guy by any means, but this grill looks sexy in person.

I think the factory grill looks best out of the options for the TRD. That being painted black I cant stand the look of chrome makes things look like cheap junk. Factory is way better looking then that home depot looking BAMF grill I keep seeing posted around. Cant believe people are lining up to pay 400+ for that grill

After owning a 1987, 2000 and 2008 Tacoma I was extremely disappointed in the SR and SR5 grilles. All of mine had some chrome on the grille and looked great. The new SR/SR5 were just in your face black cheap plastic. The TRD Sport was the best stock grille in my opinion. I do like how some have color matched theirs to match the body paint. I felt the same about factory wheel options. I don't like any new Taco wheels. The TRD Sports were the best appearance option. I really wanted a SR5 to save money but could not find a dealer within 1000 miles that would install TRD Sport wheels and a grille and they could not guarantee they would fit an SR5. So I bought the TRD Sport for the grille, hood and wheels. Got better seats and the pb start as a bonus. I am absolutely ditching the wheels by this summer. If aftermarket grille options with some chrome hit the market I may swap mine. I don't care what anyone else does to their truck but I cannot see spending more for these options and then downgrading to look like the cheaper model. Just my 2 cents.

I'm thinking about spraying mine with a textured paint. Always liked the finish on some of the metal grill replacements, and since I don't mind the TRD OR grill when it's black, it might turn out pretty good. Bezel would be painted, as well.

I thought about it and still may do it this summer. When the black billet became available from T-rex, I went that route. It matches the bars inside the skewp perfectly.

Yea people who change their grilles are dumb.... They just don't know how to think for themselves.

Next let's discuss people who buy the 4x4 trucks just because others have them... That must be the reason... I see a very small percentage of the people with OR trucks actually going off road.

Then let's discuss these stupid light bars... I mean no one ever actually needs that much light... Must be another monkey see monkey do scenario huh?

Let's move on to tires.... Man i can go all day about tires... Lets all put mud tires on our trucks but drive around the mall...

Next subwoofer stereo systems... What is this 1999?

Id swear this board was composed of a bunch of teenagers on the rag sometimes. If everyone liked the same stuff there would only be one option and this world would be terribly boring.

For the record... I have a custom grille, light bar, AT tires... Dont have a subwoofer or a 4x4 but would If i could afford it.

There's always two ways of looking at stuff... But barely ever a time it's helpful to argue your opinion against another's.
