required maintenance light

hey how do you reset this service interval. I looked in the book and found it but toyota only explains what it means, not what to do. I change my oil every 3,000 is their any way to set the interval to 3000 instead of 5000?

I run synthetic and a 5000miles change interval is even excessive... even on dino oil yor safe to run 5000 miles as long as you replace the filter with a quality one (Wix, k&n, mobil 1) at every change. If you must run a fram buy the good one (tough guard) and 5k is fine
