I've only owned my truck for a month and a half but just my drives back and forth to work every day (100 mile round trip) i'm averaging 20-23mpg driving 55-60mph. I took a long trip from U.P. Michigan to Tennessee last week that hurt my average but I was hauling an extra 1200#+ the entire trip driving 65-80mph everywhere I went but my fuelly account still says i'm in the 19's mpg.

My Fuelly average is 20.3 with a DCSB Sport manual with a snug top. It might get better with summer fuel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i think what its in reference to Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) is, manuals have that clutch free start that will climb for you in 1st (BUTTON ON LEFT SIDE NEXT TO BED LIGHT SWITCH? i might be wrong

I thought you already had an auto 2016? Are you trading it in?

Yes. Not a fan of the auto transmission at all. Some like the auto tranny. Not me. I also want the quicksand color, so it'll be worth it in the long run...

I ordered it with the tech package, too...no JBL option w the 6 speed but I figure I can add a slim powered subwoofer under the seat and accomplish the same thing and have the tranny I want...

its the same in mine, think its suppose to be like that. Assuming its not a feature you would use too much, but if anyone has any info on this feature Definitely would be cool!

The clutch start cancel only lights up when in use (turn it on before starting truck). The only light in the inverter switch is the ones telling you what mode you're in. Hth

Just got some pretty awesome mpg. About 60 miles doing 60mph. I got right around 23mpg. Not bad considering my 2015 on the same trips averaged 17mpg at best. I'm happy with it :)

I drove from Kingman Arizona to San Jose California today and after about 6 hours my transmission started acting up. Basically it became very difficult to shift out of gear. While cruising in 6th on the freeway and downshifting to 5th for hills it seemed as though the shifter would stick in gear, had to use a lot of force to get it out of gear. It would shift into gear fine. Same thing happened after the uphill's when shifting back into 6th, it would get stuck in 5th and I had to use force to get it out, but shifted into 6th no problem. Any thoughts? I've only got 4500 miles on the truck and up till now the transmission has always been butter-smooth.

Wampa, feel free to post in that thread linked above. I have the same problem as you, and the more people that contact Toyota about this problem, the better chance we have of getting it fixed.

Thanks SteveNB, just read the all five pages and appears to be exactly what's going on.
