I have my 10K coming in the next couple months and I'll be sure to have them check fluids. I feel like they will likely be low as I get a good amount of delay when sifting out of park to drive or reverse when it's cold. Plus a LOT of hunting even on flat roads and it hasn't "settled down" at all in the last 7,800 miles. Built in October in Baja for what it's worth.

While the intentions of this thread are worthwhile, threads like this are never close to being accurate with those without issues most likely to not respond.

What kind of problems, except for it cannot be electronically adjusted and is too low. That is a design flaw not a repairable issue.

I am not buying the "dry zirc fitting" is a problem. Just because you can add grease does not mean they are dry from the factory. The bearings are greased, its just the 'reservoir, (void, whatever you want to call it) is not full, nor needs to be. Its nice people are finding what they think are issues and reporting them, but I feel that there is a lot of unnecessary paranoia and looking for issues where there are none.
That said there certainly are some issues and some serious.

The only issue I have (and one not on list) is excessive road noise in cabin (most likely caused by malfunctioning rear cab vents). https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cab-noise.397446/

As for some of the more serious issues. (Vibration, tranny slow shifting) if they are design issues, why do some people have them and some dont? I do not have any vibration at any speed, my tranny shifts from reverse to drive when cold with no hesitation, et. My point being that a lot of the suspected causes (exhaust heat shields causing vibration - though probable) would be an issue on ALL similar vehicles... and its not the case.

A lot of what starts out as speculation early in posts , seems to turn to fact in later posts..
I just hope we use common sense here.

Toyota is an old and successful company that prides on quality. I am on my 4th. Certainly some folks have real issues. Certainly there will be some early assembly line 'bugs'. But, I am starting to see a lot of unnecessary speculation and paranoia.

Just because someone suspects "X" is an issue, and it might make sense, does not mean it the correct answer.
Damn, if I had not bought my Tacoma TRD-OR early last Dec (made in Nov. TX) and was reading all speculation on issues, I might have looked at other brands, but looking back, NO. there is no other vehicle I would have preferred, and really love this new Tacoma. I would have preferred more torque at 1500-2500 rpm and a bit more aggressive transmission shift point programming, but that is what we have to live with in 2016 with EPA regulations.

Need to add rear differential whine (usually around 50-55mpg when drivetrain unloaded). People have already had their rear diff gear assembly replaced due to this (improperly meshed gears).

None right now. *knock on wood* I think I had the weird shifting and lack of power really early on, but that has all since gone away once everything has broken in.

The only complaint I'd have is that it seems to want to get out of 6th gear too easily. I wish it would stay there unless I really gave it some gas. I'm not sure I'd call that an issue though.
