It is bad looks like Toyota added some vents on the back of the cab. Between the box and cab.
I think the noise is coming in there and the doors at the top seal is not the best.
Backwards move on cab noise. I'm driving another 2016 tomorrow to see if it is just mine.

The vents are so the door will shut. If not the air would just compress and the door would bounce back

Nothing like that here. If yours is really bad like you say, make sure your gasketing isn't deformed or something. Use the other side as a reference. Take it in for the tech to hear as it is not normal.

It is definitely not a "backwards move" on cab noise. The 2016 is way quieter compared to 2nd gen.

I'm going to drive another one as mine has an issue with noise. You can hear like a window is open. The 2015 I'm using is way quieter.

Quiet indeed, more of a solid feel to it compared to the 2nd gen I had. My sport has the hitachi shocks, not sure how the 16's with the bilsteins differ....

The noise is coming is through those possibly or else where. Not normal it is going back in next week to see what the issue is.
Then it has Toyo open country tires and I rather have Bridgestone or Dunlop. The Toyo's are pretty loud.

I have the same whistling sound as well. Only around 40mph though and stops at around 55. Really wish I knew what this was!

I took mine into the dealer for that. They opened a ticket with Toyota after testing another new truck. I also test drove yet another SR5 and it had the noise. Peaks at 40MPH.....

So hopefully the head techs at Toyota will take a truck out and pinpoint the sound and explain or eliminate it with a TSB. I posted a thread about it here

I'm with you man... I've only got 120 km 0n the truck and today went back to town and the noise from the back seat area is way louder than my old '06... Wife thinks it's coming from the rear seat area... I'll go out again tomorrow and let her drive and I'll sit back there....

It was loud enough today that I could not hear the girl in the radio ask me what I wanted...!! We did have some leftover winds and rain from Hurricane Pat, but they were not all that strong...!!

Maybe those Firestones... I'm used to Michelins all the time... Don't know.

Not right as far as I'm concerned... Will update if I find anything...
