I have heard mention of this issue in several other threads but I do not think this has its own thread. I too have this problem. It truly feels like a driveline vibe that occurs around 20 MPh on deceleration while coming get to a stop. Truck shudders and shakes.
Any ideas on cause? Axle wrap on deceleration maybe?

Vibes at 2000rpm, rear diff whine at 55mph, howl between 35-45mph, shudder at 20 mph while breaking, thud when coming to a stop (not saying you have all of them). Is there any speed where this truck doesn't have issues? I've never had these types of issues on any car/truck I have ever driven.

Yep same issue I have. Definitely have the sound at 55 MPH too. Has this been confirmed to be the rear diff? Either way, I will be having both of them addressed at my 5000 mile service. I'll go to how ever many dealers it takes to get the job done.

I've got 280 miles on mine so far and I notice it does it too.
    Not very polished IMHO.
A 4WD DC if it makes a difference.
I plan to add it to the list when it goes in to the dealer.

I have this too. 4x4 OR M/T. Happens even in neutral coming to a stop. I looked at the dash and it started to shudder right at about 17 mph.

I have the same issue....dealer said it was normal which I refuse to believe. Hoping someone has a decent dealership that will figure out what the issue is...

Sounds like rear diff issues to me.

Mine seems to do this a little as well. Putting the truck in 4WD makes it go away for the most part. Most likely the needle bearing issue on the front diff. I have no other noises, vibrations or whining though.

Im guessing its axle wrap or u-joint angle changing due to soft leaf springs. People dont want it to drive like a truck and they use soft spring rates. I wonder if anyone with add-a-leafs has the same issue.

I don't think it's that because it will do it if you just let the truck slowly roll through that speed without being on the brakes. I am 95% sure it's coming from the front axle.

I wonder if the CV joints were lubed by the same "team" that was supposed to lube the u-joints.

Verified with Toyota Care that u-joint lube is the responsibility of the assembly plant not dealer prep. That's why the dealers are not lubing even at the 5K interval, even when I asked them to.

Same thing here on a DCSB OR. The shudder, the clunk, the howl. Some have previous said there is some sleeve along the drive train that could be causing our "clunk". The vibration and clunk are my biggest peeves and it's irritating that the dealers keep insisting that it is normal. No new vehicle I have ever driven has felt this..... Unstable
