I'm not storing them in my bed, but on top of my Mega Warrior rack. I just got some Plano Sportsman trunks, the small ones, black, $24.00 ea. Got 4 of them to hold gear, I sleep in the back so I don't want any thing else back there, now I need to find a way to hold them down, I'm thinking some bungees. I've had the rubbermaid action packers but they let to much water in.

So it would not hit the fender wells. Plus I had the same box in my 1st gen.

I've got two of these DeWalt ToughSystem Boxes side-by-side between the fender wells, bungeed to a cargo divider. They fit perfectly under the factory tonneau and they're weatherproof.

I am thinking about buying 1 or 2 of these guys for my 2nd gen, but the CONTICO as seen in a few posts back has my interest too. It is similar size, but I can buy 2 conticos for just a tad bit more than 1 Dewalt. The Locking and design of the Dewalt is reeeaaallly nice though. Little undecided right now :D

    Couple questions for you guys.

    1) You briefly mentioned nothing got wet during heavy rains. Would you say it's rather water resistant? Did you improve the weatherproofing?

    2) How much do you store in the tote? What do you carry in there?

I'm interested in sticking and ARB drawer or something similar on the passenger side of the bed. Probably one of the short ones and I can still stand up my diving tanks against the front of the bed secured to the front rail I installed (from 2nd gen). Need to find a suitable topper/cab though for the box, prior to doing any of that.

I'm planning on making a run of slotted t-nuts at work using 6061 aluminum alloy. Good structural integrity and corrosion resistance (for those of you that may not be aware, yes aluminum can/does corrode)

These slotted t-nuts will fit the stock bed rail system on 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma.

Trying to guage interest on here so I can make a large run of these and keep the price down for everyone purchasing. I personally haven't been able to find these available in aluminum, and even the black oxide steel nuts aren't going to suit my needs since I don't like the idea of rust at all. Hence why I'm planning on just machining these myself.

Anyone interested, please PM me with a requested quantity and I'll see what I can do this week
