If the bearing is that loose it's not safe in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree. I forgot to mention I did some Google'ing and read that it can possibly seize up due to heat and can cause my wheels to fly off as I'm driving at high speeds on the highway.

I was going to edit and add that possibility.

Mine were pretty roasted and howling like a dog with his balls frozen to the porch. I just installed Bill's bearing kit he's selling here on TW and it was a breeze. Like it was said before, remove wheels, brake calipers, disks, cv axle nut, and the four bolts that hold the hub onto your spindle. BOOM, easy. Remember to order the dust seals too!

I wouldn't drive on them much, it's a good way cup your tires. Check your LBJ's while you're down there.

    Hi, long time no type.

Quick question, should my Map lights (rearview mirror) come on when I unlock my truck and open my door?

Right, just plug and pray. I would go through a vendor here, they do the pressing part for you and the dealer won't. They also use the same parts the dealer does.

I know, I'm so excited haha. Made a jump from 85hp to 255hp from our previous primary tractor.

I've watched so many times already haha

@JoeTacoma02 , the kit from bamatoy is easy with the right tools. I have said tools, timing is a bit harder.

Good to hear, Mike! There's no special tools required, is there? I have the basic tools. I can bring the air compressor and gun from my dad's place to make it easier when taking off my tires and whatnot. The rest, as per the youtube video, looks like basic wrenches and sockets.

I forget what size the axle nut is, it's something weird like 30mm, but it's not very tight and I used a crescent wrench to loosen it.

Other than that, a 14, 15, and 19mm wrench and lug wrench will get the job done. Might be nice to have a rubber mallet too.

35mm iirc. Just did my passenger side about 3 months ago with the bamatoy assembly.
