    Yea I bought the 3m adhesive but have been hesitant to use it because I'm concerned it will permanently stick the weatherstripping onto the door frame and possible damage paint....

    2015 DCSB bought in may. Have the same issue with my window making noises around 80 mph. Took it to the dealer and they told me the same thing about not being able to ride along at the speed. Most they'll go is 70mph but it wont recreate the noise.
    Have you done this fix yet? If so, did it work for you as well?

    I had mine fixed last week by the dealer...I got lucky they just ordered the parts and replaced only the driver side...I couldn't tell if the passenger side did it or not...so they just replaced the driver side...was expensive, but luckily it was warranty work.

    The replacement window seal on driver side reduced the issue by 98%... I suspect that the rubber dries and then creates a leak that you hear a whistle. I wonder if a window glass adjustment would make a better seal?

    Yeah i tried going to the dealer but they didnt want to order anything until they actually witness it themselves. For me, its just the passenger window, not the drivers.

    I had to do the same...per policy they have to inspect before they ordered the parts...so it was two trips to the dealer and I go further because local dealers weren't very good for me.

    Just reviving a somewhat old but still very relevant and useful thread. Followed your instructions and the high pitched whistling noise disappeared.

    The original adhesive for the seals in my truck "disintegrated" - you could tell they were stuck to the door at one point as there was some sort of leftover sealant residue there.

    I just used small dabs of black silicone along the length seal/door as indicated in your photo, taped everything up with masking tape for 24 hours, removed the tape. Since tested on several long highway drives under headwinds/crosswind conditions. Now no noise. Thanks!

    I had the whistle noise and made sure it was noted on the service reports.
    Toyota does have a fix. they finally fixed mine. They designed new seale and fixed it.
