My 2014 taco has been ticking since i bought it. I know I have seen somewhere on how to solve this but cant seem to find it anymore. Does anyone else have this issue and/or successfully fixed it. I appreciate the input!

The ticking drove me crazy. Fortunately I found the supercharger whine nicely covers up the ticking noise.

Dealer must install for it to be covered under the 5yr/60k warranty. Otherwise is is covered under a 1yr/12k warranty.

That's not bad at all at a dealer, did you have to get it tuned after? And last question, who is the best to order it from? I've seen many different prices from $480- over $3000 for just the supercharger

The price includes the factory OEM supercharger tune which reflashes the ECU. I'd be surprised if you can find the TRD branded unit now. They were discontinued mid-last year. This thread tried to track all known locations with where to get them: TRD supercharger availability update

    You need both:
4.0L Supercharger assembly (which also includes the larger injectors and everything generic to the 4.0L Toyota)
Vehicle specific fit kit (everything required to install on the specific vehicle FJ, Tacoma, ect).

    Toyota MSRP pricing was:
    Blower: $4140
    Tacoma fit kit: $580

You used to be able to get them from sites like trdpartsforu for less than MSRP. Anywhere that lists the TRD unit likely does not actually have it in stock.

Magnuson, the manufacture of the blower, purchased the rights and recently released the same blower minus the TRD branding. They included their own 3rd party tuner, which people do not seem to be fond of. But they did jack up the price. The fit kit is now bundled in. Supposedly you can get it without the Bulleydog tuner for a little less and then go to Toyota and pay about $120 for the ECU reflash instead. Haven't heard of anyone running the new version yet.
