    Maybe I misread, but I thought the filter was somehow different than the usual...

    There is a filter case that screws into the block and uses a drop in filter element. The filter case has a drain plug too that you can use a pop-in spigot to make it less messy. I just changed my oil for the first time yesterday and I found the air dam to be more of a nuisance that the actual oil filter setup.

    Someone else posted clear shots of the whole process in this sub-forum before. You can probably search for it.
    I like the air dam. It's just a pain sometimes when you need to get a socket in there to loosen the OEM skid plate. Also, you're not the boss of me.

    hahahah!

    I just couldn't get used to it dude, ended up meeting up with a forum member
    from here and sold it. I haven't noticed a change in MPG and I drive the same route the
    same way m-f.
