I did at first as the available aftermarket head units didn't have all of the features that I wanted until last year. Now that I have it I kinda want to ditch the factory JBL amp and sub for something a little better.

What kind of sound deadening material is that? I have been thinking about going that route with mine, just to have it in there. I used to ise dynomat in all my other vehicles but the last two were mainly work drivers.

My friend is a certified welder who used to do it professionally and loves his little Hobart wire feed. He said to just toss the wire it comes with and buy some decent wire for it. He's done a couple small jobs for me and they turned out good. If you aren't going to need it often, keep the dream alive!

Which Toyos? I can't say enough good things about my m55s.

Craigslist find, got it for an excellent price, already painted all I needed to buy was the scoop. Extremely happy, now what to do with the factory hood. :)

Oh and for today I started clay bar treatment followed by Meguiar's G18216 Ultimate Liquid Wax. Front is done thus far, what a difference.

bought my Taco with a Pioneer in dash nav, which worked for all of a day.

Finally got around to yanking it out and fiddling with it.

Apparently someone has never heard of butt connectors, or quick connects. the ground wires for the radio and the parking brake bypass were unhooked but wrapped with electrical tape. Rewired everything to my standards (former audio installer) and put it back together. Works good.

Was really hoping I didnt have to replace a $400 unit.
