Its decent i can afford to do the things you mentioned except the house in the bay. My house is in sacto.

 

Not a lot of places along that road to camp before getting over the hill into ranch property. Found a decent spot though and woke up to this.

 

Kinda sounds like a dream job, other then 24/7 wife and kids

Since we're talking about jobs... Today is Senior Cut Day and since I'm the Senior counselor, I've been on TW more often than most days today.

I don't knock the stay at home wife thing anymore. We both have already done full careers. He's working on a 3rd pension now.

But I'm home gittin shit done. Remodeled a half bath. Painted entire interior of the house. Landscaping. Gardening. Built a retaining wall. Errand running (usually to the adult beverage store). Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing. And volunteer in the Park about 15 hours a week.

 

And I wonder why I can't get it all done on weekends...

 

It's why I got rid of my Porsche. I loved that car. But with the truck, hunting dogs, fishing, and other expenses, I had to jettison the car. I miss it. But hey……

 

I try to make sure all the crap work is done M-F while he's at work so we can have our weekends free. We're usually at festivals, backpacking, camping, traveling...

 

Ahhhh, that sounds like my old life. Sort of.
