It's not a bad gig. Yesterday at a wedding, I was asked by many family members if I was still "doing gardening". I just say yes, unless they want to know more.
I switched jobs a year ago. Smaller company, closer to home, more pay, and a higher position. At the last company, I was set to PM the landscaping portion ($20M) of the Apple spaceship and just finished the UCSF Benihoff Children's center ($5M). I would miss my kids for 2 years, so I bailed. Now it's just $550k dog parks and a bunch of decent public works jobs, you know, just gardening. "Planting flowers and stuff" is what my family says...

When then I suggest you take the time and look around yourself. Just showing the jobs are out there. I'm not HR and I'm not looking for you...

If you can budget it, we think it's worth it. We took massive income cuts to be here but we both agree it was so worth it.

My only caveat is this. Always remember the park service is run by a buncha hippie tree huggers. Very slow, very laid back, very... different. If you can work your head around that, it's great!

Nice! Just got my OBA and dual battery setup completed. That thread and the dual battery one were very helpful. Couldn't have done it without the the input and help from @Iggy.:bowdown:

Oh I'm ready and truck would probably do fine with the armor I have ( BAMF skid and sliders) but would feel more comfy with the HC bumper and a mid skid. Plus I took a month off in January so getting the time off would be tough.
    Bumper was ordered today
