What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got new shoes n window tinted. Waiting on lift kit n running board to arrive.

 

Cool. I haven't seen any listed online so I figured you got them from the dealer. Thanks for telling the price, that and installation is what I was really curious about. I should be able to get them for about $40 each. Mark up on parts at the dealer is pretty high. How much did the fog light bezels cost you?

I had the dealer take off the chrome running boards and put predator bars on. I also had them take off the limited tires/wheels and put on black wheels and off road tires. It makes a big difference in looks. Like you, I'm working on getting rid of the chrome.

 

Finished Plasti dipping my grill tonight badges are next. Also based on my limited experience I would recommend the original plasti dip brand over the dupli color custom wrap. Plasti dip seems to be a much more durable and "bonds" better. Those impressions are based solely on peeling off the excess but the plasti dip was substantially stronger. Have not had either on any of my vehicles long enough to compare actual durability

Just got a stupid good deal for a set of TRD sport wheels that had been takeoff's. 250...gotta love craigslist!

Either let it slam down from being open or put your weight into it and push down on the corners. You will hear it click in. Learned it going over speed bumps when it wasn't closed properly

 

I get oem parts from the parts distribution center (same place the dealer gets them but I don't pay the mark up). It's a perk of working for the same family of companies that own a Toyota distributor.

I'm 50/50 on the handles. I'm with you though, I kinda like them so i might keep them.

Here's where I'm at right now. I have BPF skid plate due to be here by Thursday.

 

Glad someone actually bought TRD SPORT rims, everyone on here is all about the 4Runner TRD pro rims but I feel the sport rims actually have a really nice look. Really underrated. Good choice man!
