    What're you guys using to hold your phones when you're using the GPS or something? I'm tired of my setup so I wanna try something new. Post pics guys :thumbsup::cheers:

    I usually use my lap or my cup holder. But on long trips we usually get one of those phone holders that stick to the windshield from Ross pretty cheap. Nothing too special, sorry don't have pics.

    I gotcha. I had a permanent one screwed next to the middle air vents where that blank plastic tab is. But I don't like it anymore

    I put my phone on the speedo/tach bezel edge. I have a Otterbox case so........it doesn't move around.

    Yeah, it is pretty slick. I have my phone there now but it is ready for a GPS, if I ever get one.

    I found a perfect place for it on my '15 where the useless Tacoma logo is next to the hazard button (where the clock was on 12-14 models). I know this is for 1st gens, but the mouts are very versatile and they have different versions. Suction cup mounts, vent clip mounts, and (the one I used) double sided tape mount. Pics incoming. The mount itself is incredibly strong and the magnet mount lets you just slap it up there and your phone stays vertical or horizontal. No messing with grippy fingers or clips or anything.

    No, the magnet is in the base. You stick a thin piece of sheet metal to your phone, or case. The instructions said you can place it on the inside of the case sandwiched between the phone and it would still work and not be seen, but I have mine on the outside and it grips like no-one's business.

    Here's mine. This is the large pad, it's supposed to be strong enough to hold an iPad without moving, but I haven't tested it. The small "phone pad" is about 1/3rd the size. My mount came with both pads. The best part is that if you add more accessories, GPS and whatnot, you can use the same mount and just buy more pads. They're around $3-4 on Amazon for a 2pc kit.

    Now that I took my phone out of it's case, I'll spend the next 20 min cleaning all the dust and crud out of the little nooks and crannies. Thanks for that...

    There are two bolts that hold the grab bar on to the A-pillar. The bottom one is taken out and replaced with a longer bolt hold in a RAM mount ball. Pretty cool how it works. I have one on both sides of the truck.

    Oh...I think that is for the spacing of the RAM mount from the grab bar.
