    Pucker factor doesn't even describe the level of clenching I did that moment. I just thought I was dead the way the truck was moving and the angle. It's seriously a miracle that there isn't more damage and that I walked away with zero injuries. Had anything been just slightly different I wouldn't be here right now.

    As to the rims failure the best guess between me and the tire guy was hairline crack or it lost the bead somehow. We just know the tire had no damage.

    Its ok. After cooling down for a couple days I concluded I did the right thing. I was not rude to him I'm my conversations so I don't feel bad. I agree that he has a good product but as a businessman he's not very good. Poor customer service always sink small businesses. If he's serious about making money he's approaching it the wrong way. At the end of the day it was my thousand dollars that was given to him in good faith that he will deliver. People rip off other people online all the time. I've never bought anything and had to wait a month without any response except from overseas. Like I said the least he could have done is answered 1 email or text. He sure as hell did before I paid for it, then went missing.

    I ordered stock today for the rack I plan on making. I'll post pictures later to show off the work.

    Man it sure sucks to hear this as I've only had good experiences with him. I'd say his failure is tied to unexpected success. The last group buy was insane, it climbed so stupidly quick he had to cap it to 150 orders not long after the gates were open, and there was a wait list on top of that....and non group buy orders still coming in. If I'm not mistaken he's also doing this as a side hobby business with a regular day job. I can't imagine how many PM's/emails/voice mails this guy is getting about new orders, custom requests, order changes etc... that he has to take care of when he gets home from work to the family. Gives me anxiety just thinking about it. Still, waiting a month for a reply isn't cool, but... I know I'd fall into the same shit storm. I have a hard enough time responding to the few emails/texts/calls I get on the daily.
    :crapstorm::smash:

    That aside I'm looking forward to see what you build, you'll surely take more pride about rocking something you made yourself like the rest of your gear. My truck just shows what throwing money at people can get you, nothing special about that at all. I support the maker approach and wish I had the space/tools/time to follow suit. Props given. :thumbsup:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/that1guy108.138360/ I'm happy to here you had that winch on your truck...!!! Who knows if it would have slipped, or if a weight shift might have slid it off of that bridge! Another reason getting a winch is one of my priorities, you can do so much with those things to save your behind. Hopefully your insurance is helping you out through this without any issues!!

    Just want to throw out an FYI for you all.
    Went over to play around at Tahuya yesterday. My buddies and I have been over there 5 times in the past 8 months and it has been great. Lots of flexing, with just enough optional lines to keep things fun. The 55 trial has changed. It was closed when we first got there in the morning, but was open after lunch, and since it is the quick way to get to the south loop, we took it.
    It started out the same, but shortly in we found Boulder gardens alternating with deep trenches. As we got farther in it became too difficult to to go and farther and we had to turn around. We met up with two built jeeps who also had to turn around after they had had to winch through 3 boulder gardens and had lost a coil spring. Way more to the story, but for now just wanted to give every a heads up that the new trail is not "easy" like 95% of the park.
