Is my supercharger SHOT ?

I would say. Looks like bearings are held in with a c clip

 

When I was watching my local mechanic do mine he left the shaft in the cone and just pressed the bearings out and put them back in. Just don't forget which bearing number goes on each side.

Just out of curiosity, has your truck thrown a check engine light with the supercharger going bad?

 

Also, if you haven't gotten bearings yet, make sure you get ceramic bearings instead of standard. They are supposed to be excellent for heat dissipating properties if memory serves me correctly, plus they also tend to quiet down the supercharger drive down as a whole (boost is still loud though).

 

No check engine lights and the truck is still super fast and pushes 9psi... I ordered the regular bearings...on a budget right now since I'm moving and just did the Arb locker

 

Good to know thanks....also are you pushing 9psi with the stock TRD s/c, or do you have any upgrades? I thought stock the TRD supercharger pushed a max of 7 psi

Sorry man I can't say for sure, never opened mine up and only had it for a couple months.

It does sound like that same rattling noise though from your previous video when you turn the screws, they seem to have some play in them and I'd venture a guess that that's not normal. But hopefully someone else on here with more experience in rebuilding them can chime in...

I've swapped pulleys but never torn mine down for a rebuild as it is quite new, so I cannot say for sure. Toyota does state that some rotor rattle at idle is "normal", though definitely not as bad as the original video.

 

Seems like the rotor movement wouldn't matter since they are in the rear bearings

 

Looks good to me! A rebuild should solve all the issues.
