Yup. Tacos have bigger hubs, but the bolt pattern is the same tho.

Finally gave in to my truck needing a pollen wash as I think the trees are calming down now.

Also I have done nothing new to my truck other than maintenance. I touched up a few scrape marks on the under body from my off road trip... other than that just using her ;)

I'm really diggin' the looks of your truck. Did you buy the truck like that or did you add the steelies and soft topper? I've got a silver 14' base 4x4 and looking at getting some steelies. I just need to figure the best route to go about that whether to buy them one by one or just get a set. I'm still pretty much stock running my fancy dunlops on stock wheels for now but looking towards the future.

PS. If you ever decide to sell and decide to sell that soft topper separately..... lemme know :)

A bunch of the guys where I live end up finding the spare steelies off of Tacomas at junkyards. I'm sure you could also find them for a decent price online as well.

Which brings me to another question. Do they just look for the ones in excellent condition or take what they can get. I feel like most of the ones at the junkyards here would more than likely have surface rust on them. If that's the case... sand blasted and have powder coated? Or keep looking for a good rim?

Being just surface rust, they'd be easy to restore.

These are the steelies I found at a local junkyard.

I went the opposite way. I had a 2nd gen DCSB and I upgraded to a 1st gen regular cab. I love it so much it's unhealthy. I also love the standard features that became "mods" for 2nd gens, like the manual transfer case, the theft-prevention tailgate that doesn't collapse when you breathe on it, and the mud flaps that actually flap over objects instead of breaking into shards.

I kinda did...went from 05 AC base to 08 RC SR5. I would def go 1st gen over 3rd gen tho. I had an 82 for 27 yrs so I was digging the shoulder and elbow room of the 2nd gen but still, 1st gen envy still lurks...............in a weird way too I guess because much to the chagrin of most it seems, I would dig on a nice stepside AC prerunner or 4wd in great shape so motor/trans config flexible too............like this

I got the extended travel Icons and Total Chaos upper control arms. Now I'm just waiting to bring my truck into califabrication for the installation and limiting strap setup.
