Hey, with all these productive members of society around here, somebody has to represent the... Less productive? :drunk:

I'd claim the damaged back, but who am I kidding? :p

Though I've said it before, I treat this truck very much like my old Subaru station wagon, just easier to clean out quicker with a broom and if I'm really going above and beyond, a hose!

    Yes.
    Drove it 950 miles
    [IMG]

and somewhere along the line broke 2 wheel studs on the front driver's side
and maybe popped two more out the back of the hub.

Guess I'll be using Uber to get to work at our Littleton office tomorrow, and then head out to Autozone or similar to pick up a handful of studs.
Only lost 1 lug nut, and had three spares with me, so that works out I guess. I have ZERO idea how this happened though.

She got new shoes this weekend! 265/75/16 Firestone Destination AT's. Round about way of getting new tires for my Tundra as the 8 ply KO's that came on the Pro are going on the Tundra in the am. The one size bigger tires look much better than stock on the Pro and the ride is much nicer than before, so all around happy with the swap.

Got the Taco Tires / 2000 4Runner Limited wheels put on the Tundra this morning so all is good.....Tundra likes the hand me downs from her little sister...

    Too few to list.
Using correct torque to the lugs? I find that only the good tire shops use a torque wrench.

    Yes.
Thinking about it, and the last time the front wheels were off the truck was when I had an alignment done last week.
I bet they got the driver's side hand tight, and forgot to torque them down.

I did the rears with a torque wrench when I installed these wheels, and the front passenger's side was about right when I checked it roadside tonight.

Thankfully there are three auto parts stores just down the road from my hotel, and I got here before things went real real bad.

We were at SAMs a couple weeks ago and we were parked by the garage, I watched the guy inside put all four wheels on with a air impact then grab a torque wrench and make sure they had the minimum torque!:eek:o_O:facepalm::smack:

You are correct sir. I guess it comes down to this. After I bought this truck I literally saw 3 identical looking SSM TRD Off Roads on my way from the dealer back home. Between the 3rd gen off road wheels, black roof, and the Toyota Trucks grill emblem it is safe to say I have differentiated myself a bit. Call me vain, but I like the modded look on my vehicles.:D

Not today, but yesterday. Finally derped the wheels and the rest of the grill. Minus BHLM (which I'm not sure I'm ready to do yet) the blackout is complete.

Made my appointment to get my rear leaf spring inspection done tomorrow morning. I might even reward the old girl for surviving the accident by ordering the 5 HP TRD shift Knob! Or maybe one of the Tundra Rock Warrior Knobs with the red stitching, I'm not sure...
