i think glassworks are the best ones if you plan to keep the tailgate

Make sure you prime and paint where you cut or rust will be there in about 20 minutes. Looks good

I have fiberwerx 4.5 and I ended up drilling all my spotwelds and and removing all the excess metal. I couldn't get them to fit worth a crap until I removed the upper lip also. I will see if I have any pics. Might be some in my build. Mine fit well with the tailgate but I never run it.

yea they are pretty snug with my frame rails like that but it seems like a good fit plus im gonna try and run my shell so i wanted that extra support. The tailgate ended up fitting pretty good the only thing was that it sat a little lower than the bedsides probably because i kept the old bedside lips:confused: The tail lights are fucked im gonna figure that out tomorrow

If you want more support, you could always weld up a tube bed rail. Granted I have a bedcage to go off of but it should be doable with a little extra support.

Kinda bad pic but this was the general idea, I added another side support up front. Solid support for the top and sides. (Sorry dont know why it wont upload rightside up)

What's the best way to install an e brake when the OE one was deleted due to an aftermarket axle? I think my choices are a manual line lock or a transmission/driveline brake. Any input or help?

Some have used a tundra cable and it works. But if you have a t100 axle like me then I do t know if it will work. A tcase brake would work but no one makes them. I use a biondo line like and its ok. I only use it when I wanna leave the truck running and get out. Otherwise I park my truck in the reverse gear

Hey Anthony, drifters use hydraulic ebrakes to lock the rears while drifting. Would anyone know or think this could work for my ebrake?

I've installed a few of those in track cars and have seen a few tacomas with them. They do work, but the ones I have installed that have notched provisions to use as an e-brake, I would not trust, especially if you were on a hill. The latching mechanisms weren't all that robust

Yeah, I like having something besides the trans to hold the truck. Plus I have remote start that works with my stick in neutral. This may be a good idea unless I'm on a steep hill then I'll just bypass my remote start and keep it in gear in addition to the hydro lock.
