    I lost my air gauge and chuck to the Smittybilt compressor. They don't show a replacement on the website.
    The connections are proprietary and there are no really useful threaded ends to work with unless you start at the head of the compressor itself.
    I kept the coiled plastic line under the hood and that has been working great.
    The chuck and gauge got left on the bumper a few weeks back and ended up who knows where.

    Existing quick connect vs type 16 and type 15


    The type 15 will fit inside with a little lathe work.



    welded together.


    And now I can keep the entire assembly under the hood and not worry about forgetting it.

    Ok, just so I'm straight on this (no abs) for my proportioning valve. The blue arrows I marked are the front brakes from master, red are rear from master to rear brakes, and the front 3 way connect is totally bypassed. Also, I have a wildwood bpv, will I need adapters to convert to metric.

    NO, the blue arrows you have marked are the slave cylinder lines for the clutch. :)
    Do not disconnect the lines you have marked in blue.
    The one you marked in red is for the rear, they stay as they are.

    On the 3 way connection, the one I have left hooked up is the bypass line and will be disconnected from the other end and can be removed.

    On top of the 3 way connection is the hard line from the master cylinder that will be moved to the soft line mounted to the frame.

    On the forward facing port of the 3 way connection, you will be removing a short bent up piece of hard line that is connected to the soft line on the frame. The short bent up piece will not be reused.

    What my finger is pointing too is the hard line that will be relocated to the soft line that is in the left side of this pic on the frame.

    Aha! I see it. I was wondering where that soft line was because I only noticed the one with the blue arrows. Good thing I asked. And then I can just cut out that 3 way and pull the line.

    Yep.I haven't cut mine out. Might do that now.

    I don't know where you can source the adapters other that Front Range Off Road, maybe somebody else has another source.

    Tuesday Came early.
    Changed out the coil packs and plug wires today.
    I changed the actual plugs yesterday, they weren't too bad but I noticed a peppier response with the plugs alone.
    Reason for changing the coil packs...they are 20 years old, 246,000 miles and nothing lasts forever. I also do a lot of wheeling alone so it's nice to know the only potential fails are my own and not the truck.

    New wires. They came with all new clips. I mean all of them. Just unplug your old set and plug in the new ones. Couldn't be easier.


    Drivers side.


    Passenger side with new coil packs.


    Cleaned the maf while it was easy to get to. I asked the guys at Toyota what they recommended, they said plain old carb cleaner, gently blow it dry with compressed air and let it sit for a bit. It sat for about an hour while I fiddled with everything else. I cleaned it from the start so it could sit unmolested by me.



    Started right up.

    So...after today's drive to Denver, up I-70, over the mountains, I can say with out hesitation, if you are at the quarter million mile mark or beyond...change your coil packs. There is a difference. There wasn't actual horsepower gains per se, but the performance was above and beyond what it has been the past few years. I absolutely love driving this truck again.

    My horn sucks. Replaced it last year with an off the shelf pos, had a slightly throatier "meep-meep" sound...and it crapped out already.
    So, I cannibalized the one from my Scout. Because parts is parts.
    If anybody is familiar with the older 70's Ford horns, they are loud and proud. The International uses the same horn. Delco-Remy, made in Canada.


    A shot of paint to liven it up.

    Used the Bracket it came with and it just fit in there.


    With the grill closed back up.

    Fucker is loud now.:thumbsup:
