    Have a question I need cleared up, 2009 taco offroad package double cab with factory diff lock. Question is , will the diff lock work in two wheel drive, or does it have to be in 4 hi or 4 lo,I was told that it only worked in 4x4 mode. If anyone knows for sure id appreciate knowing what modes it works in. Thanx...

    Only works in 4low. There is a mod you can do to make it work in all ranges

    He has a 2009. isnt the grey wire for the first gens? i know when i did mine to my 2nd gen i had to run all those wires in the ECU behind the glove box through a relay.

    Also yeah once you do the mod it works in 4 hi and 2wd. its pretty easy if you follow the steps. i was nervous but it worked out just fine. i'll look for the link
