Got one of my fender flares that was messed up replaced by @Danactive , dude did me a solid and sold me his OEM fender flares for a great price and even installed/switched out the new one on my truck, great guy, and has an awesome built of a truck, look forward to what he's gonna add to his built in the future. Real cool meeting a fellow TW member and just taking about tacos and mods.

    Thanks again brotha!

I've already been putting the toytec 2.0 through its paces and it's been great. Thanks for the heads up about remote reservoirs as well. My only complaint with the current setup is that it still rides kind of stiff on the trails. I have good travel even with the 285's now, just want to make sure I'm taking advantage of the space well. Maybe I'll look into decent UCA's first, potentially a different set of shocks with some adjustability available down the road.

    Thanks again!

How many miles you have on your Tacoma. I noticed a power gain after 5000 miles. And a gain in mpg's. Getting around 2 mpg better. Like to see what that part adds to power and mpgs

Wonder if the opinion on external reservoir shocks is based on experiense or the fact that the person can't or won't pay the money for them?

Pictures really don't do it justice. Let's just say these things are so white that it makes the LED DRL look yellowish.

I did it myself. I just used their bumper as a start. If I would have known what I would have to do to make it look like I wanted, it would have been easier to start from scratch. I just didn't like how it matched up with the lines on the truck. It wasn't made for the flares so I added those pieces on to make the lines flow a little better.

Why does a weekend warrior off roader need reservoir shocks? Wont pay the money or can't pay the money is no the point here. He asked a question, I gave a response based on my personal thoughts on the matter. I feel that it is a waste of money to buy something you can not fully utilize and would rather spend the money and components I know will make a difference. Again, this is my experience and personal opinion. Individual mileage will vary.

I agree, I spent money on new BFG K02's because I frequently haul my PWC to the lake and need the extra traction these tires provide pulling back up the incline, bought a topper because I often take my dogs out and don't want dog hair all over my cab, I did buy TRD Sema wheels and will admit that was only for looks. I'll bet half the people who install reservoir shocks never even take the truck off road, just for looks which if you have the money is great, they do look cool.

I've had a discussion about this with a few folks here on TW before (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...alership-service-writer.432611/#post-12476973) and consensus was basically that Toyota can deny warranty coverage for anything they want. Yes, Magnusson-Moss would/could prevail but only in court, which would involve paying a lawyer to fight it out with Toyota in arbitration and/or court if it came to that. Basically, it comes down to the dealer service department that you choose. Apparently, some are great to work with if you are modified, and some use modification as an excuse not to do warranty work because they don't want to take a chance on Toyota Corporate denying the warranty claim and leaving the dealer stuck with the bill.

I hate that feeling of constantly wanting to eyeball your truck as you leave it! Nice looking truck Quicksand was my second choice!

Two things today. Added strong magnets to the inside top lid of my ammo can to carry tools I reach for more than others and did the old exhaust chop-chopy-chop.
