Morimoto XB LED Fogs (12-14): Install

Did you do it without moving the plastic liner somehow? Did you have to trim either of the tabs on the fog housing?

 

Memory is I took out two screws and they just installed like the old ones came out. I trimmed nothing. They came with my Retro's from Burt. Inner fender just bends out of the way.

Can I get an output shot from inside the cab? Thanks in advance, want retrofitted headlights so badly.

Great product if you are interested in quality LEDs, but if you want serious lighting output to which LEDs cannot compare:

I can also guarantee LEDs will last a long longer, and these are complete housings.

Anyone running yellow LaminX. Searching around for a couple good photos of the front of a truck and inside the cab looking forward.

So yeah they are a bitch to put on. No instructions so I checked out Lamin-x website. From what I read everyone was using water to get them placed right and sometimes a little heat.

They look really bad up close... folks say they will clear up in a few days so we'll see. I didn't get any up close photos but here are a couple I took.

 

That's actually pretty good for a film. I heard the color wasn't as yellow and some even doubled up on the layers. Looks good!

My wires weren't the same so I remember having to tap a different source. I didn't bend any relay legs or crimp any connectors on... soldered and heatshrink for permanent pleasure

 

Got mine installed yesterday with the help.of @Sleipnir while we were planning out the rest of my lighting.

These things fucking rock, highly recommend for a plug and play replacement. Night shots to.come tonight.
