Paste Wax....Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax, when I have the most time and want the most protection. This stuff is great and really easy to work with. Can apply in sun or shade, easy to wipe off. No white residue on plastic.

liquid wax....Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax....little quicker than using paste wax. Used it for the first time this weekend and truck looks great. Less durability than the paste. Also easy on, easy wipe off, sun or shade and no white residue.

All other times after a wash, Meguiars Ultimate Quick wax or recently purchased Meguiar's D15601 Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax - 1 Gallon. Takes about 15 min to do entire truck, leaves it shining and slick and prolongs the life of the wax underneath. No white residue on plastic.

Thanks for the heads up. Took it in with about 300 miles on it. No grease, rear axel bolts tightened to spec and atf addressed. Would have never known without this post.
    Thanks again!

I picked up a 4 oz sample after reading your post. I'm going to try it out this week and see how it does. Thanks for the recommendation!

Like Frank said, lower control arm. There are just some holes in it that I plugged with 9/16 and 1/2" plugs from lowes that someone linked on these forums. Cost about $4 and completely fixed the noise, which wasn't even noticeable unless it was very windy out.

I'm getting up to around 2k miles on the truck and I'm liking it more and more. Transmission is shifting much better, no more noises of any sort.. I've taken it on a few short road trips and really like how it performs on the highway. Some very mild off-roading went well but nothing to write home about. Once I get some better tires I'll get a little more into it trails.

Believe it or not, I LIKE the noise. Someone on TW has a link https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/solved-howling-noise-between-35-45.410480/ where he compares the LCA to an ocarina. I thought that the noise was rather soothing so I named my TRD "Ocarina"!

In the 6pd Manual, when you engage the locker, does the light stay ON if it's engaged? Will it engage in 2wd? I seem to remember my FJ's locker having a light indicating it's on. Thanks!

Locker only works in 4L. You have to have the clutch in for it to engage. It will flash and beep until it's fully engaged and then the light will go solid.
