You have an 09 which already has the AUX port.

Did you search this forum for more information?
Search button is located in the blue bar towards the right side.

You need a cable from the AUX port to your earphone jack in the ipod itself. You should be able to find something like this at any department store, Radio shack, etc.

I have a PXAMG that I got off ebay. Works well and charges my classic or iphone. This just clips into the harness on the back of the OEM headunit.

Not my video, but gives you an idea. I stash mine in the glovebox. Also gives you ability to use another 3mm input for another device, DVD or other.

You threw me off when you said interface. I'm sure there are a lot of places you can find an aux cable, like radio shack, target, walmart, etc.

I installed the PXAMG. I got it for Christmas. My wife picked it up from Future Shop (Best Buy in the USA) for around $130.

Came with the PXAMG and the correct cables for the Tacoma (I think they were the PGHTY1) in the same package. IT also comes with two iPod cables so that you can attach and charge the iPhone 3G/3GS (5v). It works GREAT!!

    Cheers.

The AUX port won't charge the ipod.

If you need to do both - then you're looking at either buying an interface (like people have already mentioned).

I'm running the USA Spec unit PA15-Toy. Plugs into your external CD port and one cable to the ipod (main port plug). Charges/controls ipod.
