So... Its looking like ARB gave up on the search for a shock that was designed for, and will correctly work with their "bolt on" lift kit.

Are these the 5100's that'll work with the 885/886 OME springs and dakar leaf pack?
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...e-5100-Series-Front-and-Rear-Shocks_p_31.html

I read somewhere that the 5100's will work great up front and in the rear I'll have to get extended brake lines for the additional 3" of droop provided by the springs.

I run ARB shocks, the same that you run. The catch is, I have enough weight in the front to keep them from topping out. If you run 886 springs without a bumper you will quickly damage the shock.

I would never run a 5100 again. You thought you had issues with the ARB shock, expect more with the 5100. They have no more travel then the ARB so the same design limitation will come into play, vehicle sitting too high for the shock travel (you have little to no down travel).

The best solution is to make the jump to a true performance shock. Spend the $1500 and do it right, for the last time.

as @thefatkid said do it right. I am regretting and have been for over a year getting the 887 and nitros, I have been topping out a bunch due to no real armor on the front. the rear you wont need extended brake lines for the dakars until you go past an 11" shock IIRC, only reason I say that is I haven't changed mine yet and I am running the dakars with the nitros in the rear as well

So I must have the 885's, whatever is for no front bumper.

And I read in another thread that the 5100's have an extra inch of travel which would make them work perfect?

Why was everyone saying OME was a great lift when I bought it a year ago!! Damnit.

I still think it is a great lift and I have nothing against it. I just pulled a stupid and didn't look at everything like I should of when I bought it. the springs are totally my fault but ill live with it.

Main thing is I am limited to what I want to do with the set up so I want to change eventually.

It seems like a decent budget lift as long as you won't use it offroad... I expected it to be pretty to look at AND useful.

horseshit! just sucks that It was a 'waste' of $1300'ish that could've almost purchased a real lift kit. Guess the leaf pack would've been extra but yeah..

Mine was $1500 with the Dakars... im keeping the pack for now but doing a relocate with 12" or 14" for the rear... and I have been eyeballing some true coilovers...

So what's the problem? Myself and @NYCO rocked ome stuff for a long.... time. I still have ome up front on the tundra. It works great for a reasonable priced lift that will hold up to alot of abuse. May not be the best riding, or most flexi suspension but u can beat the piss out of it.

I think they're running the new OME kit, which is very similar to a coilover or 5100.

What's left on your lease. I recall that was the reason you didn't do a performance coilover
