Yeah I've been following that build on IG. Only downside I see is that you actually lose a little ground clearance and I've already scraped my factory front bumper.

 

So what am I getting myself into if I try to install some CVJ re-manufactured CV axles on my 1st gen?

Aren't they a lot more expensive? Their boots are interesting.

I already put in the order with CVJ with all the boots upgraded to their red and blue boot options. They say they should ship out by Tues, would be cool to make this meet (along with a buddy who can hopefully upgrade his OE suspension in time as well). I really want to get some opinions and maybe ride-alongs with rigs that have Icons and Kings. I have 881/5100 front and Wheeler's AAL and 5125s in the back and looking for something that is smoother than this setup. Actually I'm pretty happy with my front in most situations but is maybe prone to bottoming out if I push it. The rear end is really stiff and I'm blaming it on the 5125s, but would love to get some seat of the pants experience on various setups at the meet.

 

You ordered just the boots or the axles with the boots?

Looking to get some in the near future. Without having emailed them do you mind sharing a ballpark price on the cost for both sides with the red/blue boots?
