It was pretty easy. I had the trim pieces out of the truck in less than 5 minutes. And then I just prepped with steel wool, washed, air dried and painted after

You had all these trim pieces off in 5 mintues? Even the shifter bezel thing

How exactly did you prep them? Seriously very interested, love how it looks

I had the steering wheel trim off in 5 minutes, everything else has been black for a while now. The bezel below the shift knob comes up very quick as well. What I do is pull the rubber cup holders out, pull straight up on the plastic piece holding them in, it's just clipped in and comes up easy. Then I reach my fingers under the bezel and push up from underneath the forward cup holder area, then pull starting at the front, then side then back and it's out. After you unscrew the shift knob you can lift it right out. The vents/ radio surround are a little trickier to get out and take about 15 minutes, they have screws and bolts holding them in. The trim around the gauges just pops right off, as do the bezels around the tweeters on the door panels. I "sanded" all the silver trim pieces using very fine steel wool, the kind that says its for plastic, until it's no longer glossy and you can see the silver paint coming off in most areas. Wash all residue really well off of it using the kitchen sink, then let it air dry. I then paint the pieces normally throughout the day, letting each coat dry before putting the next on and then reinstall. Sorry for the long post here's a picture of a taco

I didn't care about the light up button and painted over it, although I did separate the button from the trim so it would be easy not to paint/ tape off

If you're gonna pull the steering wheel trim pieces off make sure you unhook the ground from the battery for about 30 minutes prior and during the job to disarm the airbag.:headbang:

Nah all I did was just splice the positive into my parking lights (green wire) and ground the leds onto the frame somewhere. There have been a bunch of different setups that people have done on this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diy-raptor-style-lights.293647/page-4

Didn't catch if you have aftermarket control arms but the alignment numbers you have fall in the range that's specified by total chaos for their upper arms. Mine wanders around a bit too but I'm suspecting that I might have too much air pressure in the front tires- I heard that can contribute to wandering. The alignment machine equalizes/ set tire pressure at 36 but that's way too much for load range D tires. I'm down to like 29 now and it seems better or I'm just getting used to it. I might try getting closer to 26-27 psi as a few guys I've talked to run that pressure. I'm at 3.3/ 4.2 caster and tc says 3.5-6.0. What this all means I've got no idea but I just thought I'd share where mines at.

Well hell. I guess I'm in for it... I'm 2 months into a 4 month wait. I asked them at least 5 times " are you sure 4 months?" I also told them that if it was actually 6 I'd still wait so just be honest with me. Nope "it'll be 4 months". So I just told them that when 4 months comes along I'll be calling weekly checking on the status. Call me a sucker but I hope it's worth the wait. They also mentioned buying some new equipment that's speeding up the process.

Hahahahaha. IF i was able to get ahold of him i got nothing but excuses and bs. Usually I wouldn't get much of a response. He's a nice enough guy, however the business practices are shit. Definitely wish I hadn't wasted so many months waiting. Hope your 4 month quote is met. Good luck!
