Correct. That is usually how we work, even though society paints as money hungry, scum of society.

Severe lack of update going on here.

I hope you're out driving around in your new truck.

I don't know what post it was, but I recall she we advised that by someone she contacted.

If it were me, I would definitely have a lawyer handling the case at this point.

In one of these 35 pages, OP did update the thread indicating that an attorney basically told her to exhaust all avenues prior to getting representation. At the time it sounded more like the lawyer was waiting out the clock before getting involved... At this point though, it sounds like a good payday for a lawyer assuming OP documented everything.

I am sure she did a good job documenting everything. There really isn't much needed. Truck broke down, got towed to dealer, dealer took over 30 days to return truck. There was something about an oil light when she left after her 5k service, but that is not really an issue here, the main thing is the time of repair. Yes, I would think any lemon law lawyer would be all over this one.

Lol yes, you're probably right about documentation. Though honestly even if Lindsay didn't document a damn thing, the service records are all over Toyota's ERP systems and available to anyone with her truck's VIN...

She hasn't been on here since June 4th. I wouldn't be surprised if her attorney told her to cool it

IMO, I think OP would just do better with a new Tundra or even an F150. She wasn't happy w/ the power and is in need of more towing capability.

Ive been through a lemon law suit (not naming names). Even as an attorney mysef that at the time was a prosecutor for the Attorney General's Office, it was a very stressful process. My attorney advised me to to try working it out with the company prior to filing - again. I already had them at the table to do a buy back but they refused my offer and wanted me to eat $3,500. Hahaha...Im the wrong type of personality for that. We ultimately settled on my very first offer to them prior to filing the suit - when I tried to work it out amicably. It basically cost them several more thousand dollars than it would have to settle with me upfront. Unfortunately, the numbers are in favor of car manufacturers. Most people cant afford to fight them.

I read her posts before joining, and I was about to jump out of my skin to tell her to stop posting stuff on here. She stopped posting about the time I joined. I say let this thread go out of respect for her, wish her well, and hope we see her on here agiain.

From everything I have read on here regarding the 3rd Gen Tacoma, it seems like a relatively safe purchase if you get the manual transmission. I've heard no complaints from those who have the MT.

Not so fast. Manuals have had issues as well, I know at least 2 here have already had them replaced.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
...^^^... Had 10 or 12 Toyota trucks and the 2016 is a super truck ... just a few issues like any other new model or other brand.

This lady could have had a dealer servicing (oil) problem is my guess ...

If you are going to buy a midsize truck ... look at all of them ... then see which one has the least problems and best resale.

PS ... My automatic is fine after 2,000 miles.
