    thanks i found some good ones on Amazon by K40... but do i need to have the same mount or will any mount do ok...??

    is whip the same as antenna? i don't get it? SWR meter is the thing that tune the radios/antennas/whip?

    as long as the K40 is, you may want to stick with a magnet mount so you can take it down at will...

    although the K40 base has a twist so that you can remove the whip when you need to clear a garage, you would have to drill into the roof of your truck for the mount...

    i dont recall the K40 working very well mounted to the bumper or the bed rails...

    thanks boss... i think that mag mount is kinda a good idea cuz u can easily take down.... cuz i am in a lot of garages especially at school lol... i have a bed bar like yours will it not work well with that either ..??

    if your bed bar is direct metal to metal contact, it should be fine... if your bar has any rubber or plastic in between, it may not have enough ground plane... not sure how effective the K40 is on that setup...
