I got it aligned right after my lift and didn't get my tires till 2 weeks later. I assumed that the tires wouldn't make a difference in the alignment

I so want to wheel next weekend. Just got back from camping at union valley. we camped on the back side. awesome camp sites right on the water. and there free 99. Its now the wife's new favorite place to camp. with the boat it can be difficult to find places like this.

what was the numbers from the alignment? did you change tire size? if so you will most likely need to do it again. with 33" tires and 3" lift its been beat to death on this site on what you need to do. I trimmed a little off the bottom of my fenders and flares by the cab. as for alignment, as much caster as you can get from the UCA's as possible. and you will want after market UCA's to help with maximizing caster. If your OCD will let you trim , its really only a little were the mud flaps should be.

your before numbers were better on the caster. I suggest you take it to someone with lifted truck experience. Auto surgeon in rocklin is really good.

you wanted the 3 degrees you had before on the caster.at least 2.5 degrees. It will be out of factory specs. but will ride better. take it back, have them do it again.

Do you have LR/ SPC UCA's? The alignment guys I took it to were confused by the upper adjustment. Maybe the upper adjustment is screwing up the lower one or vice versa. At least one of them should be set to zero before starting... I'm guessing.

I think what they did by looking at his specs is they returned it to factory specs on the lower. that would cause all kinds of rub and probably a lot of bump steer. this is what happened to me when I lifted my truck and had Toyota do my alignment. The guy who did it wasn't the normal alignment tech and had no experience with lifted trucks. a few weeks later I got bigger tires and rubbed like a teenage boy looking at playboy. that was with + 2 on the top with the LR UCA's. took it to a better shop and problem solved. I took the instructions to the shop with me for the LR UCA's and they just handed it right back and said we got you, we have lots of experience with lifted trucks and the guys has a Tacoma as well. I only wish there shop was closer to me.

I need some diagnosis help with my 1st gen. I'm wondering if someone can help or can recommend a shop that won't waste my time and money. I'm leary of shops, but I don't have a proper work space or the tools to really dig into this seriously by myself.

The truck has what seems to be an intermittent misfire or maybe a timing issue that only presents in DRIVE and while stopped. Here's a video. It's a minute long and you'll see the engine periodically stutter/dip/choke/whatever and then kick back up. The most obvious happens at 14 seconds in and then it repeats a several times more. At other times (not in vid) it will just dip down like that but stay there and idle kinda rough. As soon as I give it any gas, it goes away completely. It only happens while idling in DRIVE. it hasn't thrown a code yet. I've researched it endlessly and there are a bazillion things it could be.

What do ya'll think? Who can help figure this out?

I've been vacationing along the California coast from Reno for the past few days. Everybody around here drives fast and with an "all about me" attitude. That is all
