This looks factory. I want to do something like this. I currently have a 10" from my SUV... but I don't think I could build a box like yours with a 10" sub. I think I need to downsize to the 8"

 

Here is my custom sub box behind my rear seat. Running (2) Powerbass Shallow Mount 12s, full component system in front and rear doors, 5 Channel amp powering everything, and a XS Power D3400 battery to eliminate voltage drop

Alpine KTP-445U amp going to JL Audio speakers front and rear,
a JL Audio HX300/1 amp hooked up to JL Audio 8" micro sub placed behind drivers side rear seat

Built this about a year ago. Not the best looking but i put it together for under 100 bucks with an old amp i already had. Its just an 8" Rockford in a small T line box i built. Sounds pretty good, most people dont believe is just an 8", but its no ghetto blaster either.

 

just finished up adding a Sirius tuner to my factory HU.

 

Pioneer GM D9605 amp, LC7i, Image Dynamics 6.5 comments up front, Image Dynamics 6.5 coax rears, ********* 10 box, Pioneer Champ Series sub, stock touchscreen HU.

That's a pioneer shallow 10 right? How do you like it?

 

I like it dude, It sounds good and plenty of power with one sub. I had one 10 inch in my 2010 Tacoma also.

 

I have a .55 cf ********* 10 box in mine with a pioneer 10 I repurposed from my last car. It doesn't sound great and is the weak link, the sub is spec'd for .65 cf and larger so I'm thinkin about getting the shallow 10 which is .35-.74 cf recommended.

The sub is 300w nominal and my amp is 350 rms X1 though.. Hmm.

 

This sub is rated at 1200 watts. I have a kicker 400 watt amp pushing it. My local installer did the install. I have known him a long time. I have had a lot of installs done by his shop.

 

1200watts peak, on a good day. I bet if you put 1200watts of clean power to that sub it will fry on the first hit. Most speaker companies list BS power ratings on their speakers/subs. 400watt amp is perfect for this sub.
