Funny stuff. Anytime I search any forums for something it never finds what I am looking for, I have to go to google type my question in and then google finds the forum topic. The forum search engines suck ass.

Nope. 3rd gen. Post 3 is somebody's confusing 2nd gen input, but the thread is 3rd gen grille.
And I only responded that way because the thread was literally on the first page or two at the time and there were lots of people doing grille mods. Notice the date.

As you can see, sometimes your interweb snark comes back to haunt you.;)

    all tore up already
removing the grill is so easy, shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to remove assembly. 2 screws, 4 fasteners and a firm tug and the whole thing is out.

Removing the grill is extremely easy. Removing the chrome trim and actual grille from the shroud resulted in a few broken tabs for me.....Just be patient with it.

RE Chrome trim and actual grille - Definitely don't force anything out... I used a butter knife to pry the tabs out. They're stiff, but using the knife where my fingers couldn't reach let me slide them out with ease. Just wedge the knife in and shim the tabs open.
