Check Out My Build Thread :)
make sure you tell them exactly whats on the TSB... i literally stated verbatum "the 1st to 2nd shift is very harsh and does not react normal like the rest of the gears, in cruise control its hunting for gears and the reverse to drive delay is not happening all the time but does happen more often than it should which is never..." no questions asked and walked out a happy tacoma owner 45 minutes later. if your honest and stick to your guns they will treat the situation much better than if you go in complaining and shooting from the hip with a bunch of BS... hope this helps and hope it gets resolved for ya!

I'm in Ocean Springs, MS and I ordered a 31.5" Caliraised with Apex Fabworks brackets in a group buy on here about a month ago. I installed the light bar myself and it's really simple. Mostly need a socket wrench, phillips head, allen key socket wrench, and hack saw. The wiring is pretty simple as well. I ordered a Mictunning switch and put it where the Clutch Cancel would be on the automatic. Hardest part is feeding the wiring through the firewall. I love this set up. Brackets are awesome. Light is super bright.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
It's the ditch light bracket form Cali Raised. I had to drill it out some to fit the antenna. Also had to remove some of the powder coat around the bolts to get it to ground properly. Cost is around $50 for the brackets (comes with two), but would definitely do it again though. The product is worth the price. Will probably use the other bracket for a Ham antenna down the road.

I like the way you did that. Is the wiring connector behind that kick panel? I pulled down the panel under the steering wheel and didn't see it there.

Check out the write up I did on the installation should help you out. There are a couple of pics in there of were they tuck the brake control wiring from the factory. Mine was wrapped in white electrical tape behind all the wiring.

for anyone who wants the fluid level checked, the statement about needing the truck for a few hours is 100% true.
it is an overflow transmission, meaning at a specified temp range you remove the overflow plug and dump the excess fluid until it is a slow trickle.

    that temperature is 105-115 degrees.

I let my truck sit for 4 hours on a 90 degree day, then drove it 300 feet into the shop, pumped in two quarts of WS fluid, then hooked up the scanner and monitored the temperature. Trans fluid temp was 105 degrees, and within 2 minutes of running it got up to 115, when i pulled the overflow plug.

while the TSB is an easy and quick thing to do, setting the fluid level is not, so be patient with the dealers if they agree to do it.
(as a reminder, all this is being written by a Toyota tech)

Thanks for giving us a behind-the-scenes explanation. Really appreciate it. Although we as end users don't expect magic, it's nice to have someone frame reality and help us set real-world expectations. My wife is in finance at a Toyota dealership and I hear all the unrealistic stories people tell of how they're going to do this and that and how they're going to set the F&I manager straight. It makes me laugh.
