5100 aal and tire questions

I don't have any plans on adding anything like that.........as of right now. Just looking to do a small lift the right way and a bit larger tires.

 

If you were going to be content with 1.75" then the 884 coil might do you well. I think they lift the truck about 2".

Ok so I continued searching.......bad idea. Anyways now that you guys convinced me to get 5100, 885 and aal combo.....I found a member that got 275/70/17 to fit on his stock sport wheels and unfortunately they don't make grabbers in that size, but they do make BFG KO2's. So there is that opton

You can fit bigger tires on stock rims, but you just risk rubbing the UCA. You could get them and if it rubs, just pick up some wheel spacers. Those run about $200.

They also make cooper stt maxx in that size. Buddy has them on his 4runner and they look great. Mine are 265/70r17 General Grabber AT2s and hie are 275/70r17 in the cooper.

 

If those are pictures I can't see them. But I'll have to try to find the dude that has them. It's a 5100 and 885 with a 1.5 aal and 275/70/17 on sport wheels and no spacers and stock UCA's and he said no rubbing at all. I don't have an issue trimming the inner fender I don't want to do a cab mount chop

I came across a few year old thread if tour truck with 275/70/17 on stick sport wheels with no rubbing.......true story? And is there enough clearance to the uca for BFG KO2's? Because they have the tread (sort of) on the sidewall

 

I have stock sport alloys and 275/70/17 Hankook ATm's and I do not rub

Still have front mud flaps too

 

I think TW member @teamfast ran or runs BFG 275/70/17 on stock sport alloys

 

And I don't need the whole set up but what was your total lift front and rear? And sock uca still correct?

 

I'm at about 2 1/2 front and back , OME 885's and Dakars . I have LR UCAs

Dude, on page one you stated "I don't want to chop anything up either". trimming is a gateway mod to cab mount chopping. You see how addiction works.
