Walking around the local dealership I noticed all the OffRoad 4WD and PreRunners have Toyo highway tires or another make (I forget right now) ... do you think this is the trend due to most folks putting on aftermarket tires shortly after purchase ... a way to expand the profit margin.

Its because 94.3683% of buyers want and need THOSE tires.

Like how the Trail Teams FJs came with KOs. They just gave people problems with balancing and noise.

I remember a time when a 4wd came with at least some decent ATs but that was a long time ago. I bought a 2001 Supercrew 4wd and the OEMs were crap. The dealer quoted me $1000 to swap out to a decent MT. I told them to stick it. In 2001 I could just go out and buy a set for much less. Fortunately I had a 2wd F150 that had the same size rim and was about due for tires. Tires are what swung me to the Baja. I was actually going to just keep the tires and rims from my 2009 if I had bought a TRD OR. The ranch I hunt will tear up the OEMs. Most 4x4s never leave the pavement.

Maybe the new ones but still just a beefed up hwy tire in my book. Tread is too tight for my needs.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
No. Because most (your qualifier) people don't.

There is a much higher percentage of unmolested trucks running around, that never leave the pavement, than there are modified mud bugs.

Thanks for the correction ... didn't intend to generalize.
