I recently purchased a lifted 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. It drove fine at first but now at high speeds, whenever I hit a very bumpy patch of road, there is a sort of knocking feeling that I feel all the way up to my steering wheel. It is only at high speeds and only with bumpy roads. Also, on occasion my steering system locks up and the key won't turn. I know to move the steering wheel and the key will then turn, but I don't know why I keep having to do it. Just some background info:
    2007 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab 6cyl 4.0L
Lifted 3inches with a ProComp lift about 30,000 miles ago
    Current mileage: 135,000
    All-terrain tires/Mud hybrid tires
1inch wheel spacers were installed with the new tires
    Stock rims

Look up the steering wheel zip tie fix for the rattling feeling.

Your steering is not messed up that is how it supposed to work the wheel gets locked with the key off. If you turn the wheel and lock it it has pressure on the locking device which prevents you from turning the key due to the pressure.

Check your sway bar ends. Reach up in there and grab hold. Push up and down and you will easily notice any slop.

Try pulling it through with needle nose pliers or get thinner zip ties.
